    By halfway through I was praying for another car bomb. The central mystery was badly written and the whole thing relies on a tiresome narrative con job since almost every character knows what the plot is about but the author won't let them say it. Irritating as hell anyone of the worst things you can do as a thriller. The entire plot could have been solved with a fax machine. Everything about the whole thing is so fucking dumb except like three setpiece moments. And, knowing what we know now, it's TRIVIALLY EASY to bribe supreme court justices, so WHY EVEN BOTHER with the murders if you've got cash. Also the way John Grisham writes women is bad and he should feel bad.
