“Heart of Darkness” remains as an exceptionally thought-provoking novella. In reading, you encounter numerous accounts of symbolism through the ‘Darkness’ as well as a better understanding as to how the human mind works when left alone to the wilderness. Personally, I found fascinated with just who Kurtz was – pre and post meeting his character. I thoroughly enjoyed this novella of Marlow’s accounts as a steamboat captain.
