Okay. Wow. I've slept on it and had over 12 hours to think about my rating and review, and I think I've finally decided on something. There genuinely wasn't really anything I didn't like about this book. It was full of action and had the right amount of romance and spice in it to be really enjoyable. I really loved all of the plot moments in here and it was also extremely funny. I loved Tairn's monologue. Literally everything that dragon said had me cackling at this book. Overall, I really loved this book and after that ending, I don't know what I'm going to do with myself until the next one is released. Anyway, 5/5 stars and I really enjoyed this.

4.5⭐️ Listening to the graphic audio was a million times better than reading this. I read it last year and was so disappointed, but the GA just hits different.

Onyx Storm ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As usual Rebecca Yarros has let me speechless at the end of a book. I loved this book, it definitely feels like a middle book and I am excited to read the next book in the series. I do feel like we kind of end up in the spot as the second book, but we get a lot of answers and new questions. It’s so complex and there is so many levels to it, it will definitely be a reread. Spoilers Ahead I have so many theories and ideas to hard to narrow them all down to a review. But here are my stand out thoughts: - Dain has really proved himself, and stood up against his dad. I am hopeful he will keep being on Violets side. - Violet has really grown, she is learning to become a leader and I truly think she will be a great one. - I love Sawyer leaning on Violet for support, we haven’t seen a lot of just the two of them. - Xaden, man he is complex. His mom, the viein. Everything. My major thought he people saying he can’t be violets love interest, cause it’s ‘enemies to lovers’ and they fell in love too quick. But I think he is cause he is now truly a MAJOR enemy. - I also think Bodhi is his new “brother”. Which is why he married Violet and left the title to her, cause neither of them could do it. (Then Imogen wiped her memory). I don’t think they are dead. - I also do think Garrick and maybe Aatoes took the dragon eggs to the isle to get that army. Cause they will need them. - I love Violet, Rhi, Sawyer and Ridoc as a group. They truly are the best squad and watching them grow and learn to trust one another is so cool. - I also again love Jes, her and Sawyer together are so cute (and him learning to sign, very funny. - I also love Sloane, her being so stubborn, and Dain always being the one to real her in (freaking first years 😂). I could see a possible romance there. And Ridoc and Cat! I think her stubbornness would keep up with his smart remarks.
