Oh my good gracious I needed to sleep on this book before i could write a coherent review. It is completely worth my 5 star rating. While i was confused at first and could not understand why in God's name Shazi would do anything like offer herself up to slaughter. As the story progressed I fell in love with the drafted murderous king right along with her. My heart couldn't handle the ending. It broke me in two but that just means my expectations will be high for its sequel. If this is on your tbr and you dont know if you should pick it up or not. I'm telling you right now. Do it you wint regret it
