I should probably be concerned about how much I enjoyed this, but I did. I enjoyed the high stakes part of it, and I enjoyed all of the dragons and just the fantasy elements of it. I love Violet and Xaden. I love them so very much. The sheer amount of tears I cried for Liam is unreal. I loved him so much. Tiran’s conversations with Violet were some of the best parts of this book. The only reason this isn’t a 5 star is because of (1) the long chapters and (2) simply because of Jack’s existence. So, I give this book 4.5/5 stars, and I’m excited to continue!

My new January tradition is to reread Fourth Wing so I can start the year on a reading high. This is my third read now and I swear it gets better every single time. It’s the kind of book that consumes you, you forget you’re reading it because you’re completely living in it. I thought that maybe, just maybe, the scene we all dread wouldn’t get to me as much since it’s the third time i’ve read it, but no, it was so much worse because I had already fallen in love with the characters twice before. Tairn will forever be my favourite character, he’s sassy, grumpy, protective, and constantly has me giggling. His lines are just the funniest little escape from the stress and high stakes of Basgiath. January 2025: I think I loved this even more after reading it for a second time. Absolutely incredible writing, I lost track of time so bad while reading this and I’m immediately picking iron flame up🥹 February 2024: need a minute to think of something to write, because I am just shook right now.

I- 6 stars this book lived up to all of the hype and was phenomenal. It simultaneously felt like a combination of some of my favourite fantasy books ever and something completely and utterly different. I need book 2 right now Edit: I seen some people saying this book wasn’t as good the second time around because their tastes have evolved and they realized this wasn’t as good as they originally thought but I’m clearly never evolving because this book was just as amazing this time as it was when I first read it. From the sassy dragons to Violence and Xaden being everything I’m so ready to finally continue on with this series and read the next two books. There are so many little hints I’ve picked up on reading this the second time and I can’t wait to deep dive into this world and hopefully get some more answers before another brutally long wait.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Favorite line: “Fascinating. You look all frail and breakable, but you’re really a violent little thing, aren’t you?” 💭 My thoughts This book was my dive back into the world of reading and so I think it will always be a favorite of mine regardless of how cheesy some of the lines are. A war college, dragons, and a hot man who wields shadows? I mean, c'mon.. If that was the entirety of the plot, I think I would still love it. I love the setting, the characters (even the ones I hate) are all memorable in their own way and round the story out, the lore. Let's not forget our grumpy vs sunshine dragons, Tairn and Andarna. The biggest thing I have to say about this series is that Violet suffers from what we would refer to as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and I love that the author put effort into making her abilities believable while also still writing a fantasy book. ⚠️ Trigger Warnings Graphic: Sexual content, Violence, Death Moderate: War, Death of parent, Injury/Injury detail Minor: Vomit, Grief 🌶️ Spice The tension buildup to the spice is always so enjoyable to watch unfold in this book. Several scenes have taken up residence in my head and will remain iconic for the foreseeable future. Follow my Instagram

Fourth Wing Review I honestly really liked this book. I have put off reading it but I’m so glad I did. My favourite characters are Violet and Rhiannon. I also love Tairn and Andarna, their relationship and their relationship with Violet. I love the timing and amount of surprises and revealing of information. It keeps you hooked into reading the story. I also liked the variety and differences of all the people in the story. It added a lot of dynamics to have so many different personalities. Spoilers ahead Tairn’s sass and sarcasm was so funny too see. It definitely brought out some attitude and strong was in Violet I think she really needed. Where as Andarna is the calm and kindness they need to level it all out. I love Violet and Rhiannon’s friendship. They truly support each other regardless of anything else going on. They are both selfless and loving individuals even with what they are going through. I honestly feel the same at Violet does regarding to Dain and Xaden though out the book. Although finding out Dain was reading her memories with Violet knowing was really frustrating to me. But Dain was truly was using Violet. He really needed to understand that she could handle herself. He wasn’t being helpful and he was just using her to better himself. He honestly would have told on Xaden/the other rebels if he found out. So I do understand why Xaden didn’t tell Violet everything. But I also understand Violet being upset cause it’s her being left out/left in the dark. Especially when everything you are being told are lies by people who are supposed to protect you. I was definitely questioning by the end of the book what is true what is lies. I was also so upset when Liam and his dragon died. He was kind and tough, I will miss him in the other books!

Holy fuck… what a wild ride. Ive been putting this off for awhile, because i know its not a finished series and I didnt want to be wrecked waiting for the next 3 books… but this was SO good, and so worth it. Im invested now. This was a real page turner from the very beginning. I loved the dragons, the twists, and the side characters were well done. There was chemistry, telepathic mind fuckery, and did i mention dragons? 🌶️ 4/5 The 2 love interests gave me “gilmore girls” vibes.. and let me just say i am team jess (xaden) ALL the way. The spice took awhile to kick up, but i love a good “fuck up an entire room” fucking scene, and this book brought it.
